The Mountain Retreat Center, NC

Thanksgiving 2018

Rev. Roy Reynolds

Summary Statement

Heart space is a place of welcome for curious and seeking souls; a place of comfort and safety where your heart’s pain and longings can be heard and held. The magic of heart space is that each of us can find and experience the precious gift of empathy and mutuality through the caring qualities of love’s presence. Heart space is not strategic, nor is it weighted by methods. Heart space is especially about getting out of our own way so that we can be intimately present with ourselves, each other, and the Larger Embrace of Life.

Register online through The Mountain’s registration website as a program add on during Thanksgiving. Additional cost $25 to cover the cost of supplies.

Friday 10 – Noon Orienting to Heart Space. We long for the rare gift of being seen and heard by another person without judgment. These are the qualities of mutual presence awakened and nurtured in heart space. This opening session will offer the opportunity for this experience through a dyad (two-person) exercise. Then we will learn and discuss the qualities needed to sustain such heartful open presence.

Friday 2 – 4 pm Introducing Meditation: An Easy Way. We will begin with a relaxing breathing practice. Then we will experience a candle meditation as an easy form of meditative practice. Time will be available for clarification and tips on meditating, drawing from the experiences of all present.

Saturday 11 – Noon Dialogue Session – Q & A. Here you will have an opportunity to ask questions and gain clarity on any element so far presented. Then you will experience an Easel Talk by Rev. Reynolds using images to help orient and elucidate heart space experience and meaning.

Saturday 2 – 4 pm Introducing Companioning Circles©: A Small Group Practice. This session puts it all together in one experience of a Companioning Circle. This experience will be followed by a Q & A opportunity. To close the workshop series, there will be time for you to explore ways to bring HeartSpace© and Companioning Circles© experience into your life.
