The Mountain Endowment Program

During this year’s Annual Meeting, Beverly Cree, Endowment Board President, presented Ted Wisniewski with a check for $4,577 to The Mountain. This annual Endowment Fund contribution is designated to supplement a grant from the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church in Cedar Park, TX to improve accessibility on The Mountain.
The Mountain Endowment Board met before the Homecoming-Annual Meeting programming began, and welcomed two new Endowment Board Directors, Kim Breivogel and Lem Arnold. We said farewell and expressed appreciation to Wayne Morris and Steve Hollingsworth, who completed their terms as Directors.

After the Mountain Annual Meeting in May, many of you joined us for the Endowment reception.  This is an important time to honor members of the Endowment Fund, as well as inform others about the Endowment, and learn your thoughts about the possibilities.

The Mountain Endowment Fund is delighted to welcome several new donor members who are choosing to support the long-term thriving of The Mountain. New Fund members include Mountain members, a Mountain Trustee and a Mountain employee.  Commitment to the growth of the Endowment Fund is high, with 100% of Endowment Board members participating.

Our Mountain Endowment has grown to $206,000, and is supporting a specific Mountain project with an annual gift.  The current project supplemented a grant received from the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church Endowment (Cedar Park, TX) for automatic door openers for six main building entrances.

This is the time to complete or update planned giving arrangements, to take advantage of the matching funds through the Wake Now Our Vision program.
