Internet Technology

  • Rewired all internet connections in lodge add another internet connection
  • Fiber buried for Tower
  • New phone server system
  • Ethernet jack in Tree House
  • New firewall system installed
  • 5 desktops and 3 laptops donated


  • More campers than prior year
  • Camp staff training
  • Campership Fund drawing
  • Farm camp–planned for June 2019

Guest services

  • Group retreat contracts revised for clarity
  • Insurance coverage now required by rental groups
  • Website registration improvements

Facilities and Housekeeping

  • Recycling bins in Great room
  • New mattress pads
  • Cabin 10 duplex renovations
  • Emerson flooring in kitchen and living room

  • New energy efficient windows in Dining Hall

Farm, Food Forest and Meadow

  • 100+ trees & shrubs planted in the Food Forest
  • Outdoor classroom space – without the use of a tiller
  • Largest Farm staff yet
  • 27 chicks & 3 ducks hatched, with 10 ducks total
  • 300 pounds of mushrooms grown with 40 mushroom logs
  • $22,800 in donations for Farm
  • Farm forging & yoga program and foraging dinners hosted
  • Canoes and trailer repaired trailer
  • Kiosks funded by Laurel Garden Club grant
  • Pollinator Survey supplies and equipment funded by Macon county grant
  • Ben, Tanner, Matt and Joey trained in Permaculture
  • Successful Faithify campaign for Stable conversion to Living Learning Laboratory project

Buildings and Grounds

  • White oak renovations and electrical repairs
  • Repair and resurfaced Ring Road
  • High Ropes course repairs
  • Gravel and crushed rock to fill holes and uneven spots
  • Installed Handicap door opener systems on six major building entrances funded by Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church Endowment Fund grant
  • Railings added to lower Rec Hall
