Residency Opportunities- Keep but don’t use

The Mountain has a number of opportunities for adults interested in living for a minimum of three months in our unique environment. Learn, grow, serve and be part of The Mountain – an exciting organization committed to peace, justice and the common good.

Upon completion of a residency program, participants take with them concrete skills and a renewed belief that they have the capacity and responsibility to work with others to bring peace-building, social change and environmental ethics to the center of their communities.

  • Residential Internships (3 + months)- Residential Interns work for an extended amount of time in a specific Mountain department in order to gain professional skills related to their career goals.
  • The interns also actively engage with the larger Mountain community.

The Mountain is committed to providing meaningful internship programs to students looking to gain work experience related to their career goals. In addition to gaining experience in a specific department, Residential Interns actively engage with the larger Mountain Community of staff, volunteers, residents and program guests.

The goal is for Interns to leave The Mountain with work experience and knowledge of non-profit work. Like other residency program participants, Interns leave The Mountain with the belief that they have the capacity and responsibility to work with others to bring peace-building, social change and environmental ethics to the center of their communities.
