From Sustainability to Climate Justice

It’s easy to become discouraged or overwhelmed by the climate crisis.  We feel better when we take small steps toward sustainability, like recycling and shrinking our personal carbon footprint, but the scale of the global challenge is vast.

Rev. Fred Small, a Unitarian Universalist minister, singer-songwriter, and former environmental lawyer, will guide us each day through meditation, reflection, conversation, and song to heal our wounded hearts and quicken our spirits in the struggle for climate justice.

Friction Farm with Christine Stay and Aidan Quinn will provide inspiration through music and a workshop featuring their energy efficient home.

Rick Crume and Pam and Charley Rogers will be presenting workshops during the conference as well as Rev. Fred Small,  Christine Stay and Aidan Quinn.

In addition, participants will become grounded in knowledge about issues involving health, food supply, energy, natural hazards and extreme weather, and exploitation of resources.  Activities are planned to enhance knowledge and insight through workshops, demonstration projects, discussions, music, and creative expression.

This conference will help us broaden our understanding of climate change and environmental justice and deepen our resolve to enroll and engage in communities and nations working together for climate justice.

We look forward to having you join us!
